Q: What is your book about?
A: It is literary speculative fiction book about Kiki, a wild-haired, freckled 13-year-old with too much energy and not enough fear. She’s also the 200,000-year-old grandmother of the human race, born in fire and dust, forged by enslavement and loss, now a time surfer connected to a trillion versions of herself across infinite universes. It is the first of a trilogy.
You can find the book blurb on the About page, or read the first few sample chapters. The book is about 77,000 words or 330 pages.
Q: What will beta readers get in return for their time?
A: Much appreciation, excitement from early insider access, and satisfaction from the creative chance to influence one of the 21st century’s most loved books, according to Kiki. 😉 Also, I will be mentioning beta readers in the Acknowledgements, and you will get a free signed copy when it is published.
Q: How will you share the book with me?
A: For now, I will be sharing the book as a Kindle/ePub book or a PDF. If you would prefer to wait until I print paper copies, let me know on the form.

A: You will be one of the first people to read the book. I’m interested in hearing about your experience reading it. I will ask you these questions after you read the book:
- Did the story hold your interest all the way through, or were there parts that dragged or felt confusing?
- Were the main characters believable and engaging people you could root for?
- Did the plot make sense and feel satisfying by the end, or did anything feel unresolved or rushed?
- Did the writing style and narration enhance the story or sometimes get in the way?
- Was the Kiki’s voice enjoyable and consistent throughout?
- Were there any quotes or scenes that felt especially powerful, moving, or memorable, things that stuck with you?
- How would you describe this book to a friend, and would you recommend it?
- Who would enjoy this book most?

Finally, I’ve edited and proofread the book extensively, so you shouldn’t find many typographical errors, but I want to fix those, too!
Q: What’s next for the book?
A: Assuming the beta feedback is generally positive, I will revise the book based on your experiences and then I plan to self-publish. Fair warning, I’ll be reaching out for reviews and social media likes when the time comes!
